Title: Yoga Through the Year: A Seasonal Approach to Your Practice
Author: Jilly Shipway
Stars: 3 1\2
Review:
The reason for the book to receive 3 1\2 stars is the lack of pictures. It could be due to it is an advance copy and not finished I am not sure. Each pose and how they work in the seasons of the year and how each home is able to better help you understand yoga and how to better approach it.
The author gives lots of descriptions which helps but if this was a book someone new to yoga was picking up the pictures or drawing would be a huge benefit.
Thank you to the Netgalley and the publisher Liewellyn Publications for the advance copy of Jilly Shipway Yoga Though the Year.

About The Author:
http://www.yogacycles.com/about.html
This web site will tell you more about my yoga classes in the Shrewsbury area. I am an experienced and qualified British Wheel of Yoga teacher. I have a passion for yoga and I love getting other people enthused about it through my teaching.
I have found yoga a great help in my own life, and my students often share with me how yoga has helped them too (see testimonials). Life is full of ups and downs and yoga provides us with a toolbox to help navigate bumps in the road more skilfully. Your yoga practice will also help you to get back in touch with your natural joie de vivre, and enjoy life to the full.
My yoga classes are friendly and you will always be given a warm welcome. I aim to create a peaceful, mindful, environment where you can relax and unwind. The atmosphere of the class is non-competitive and you will be encouraged to work at a level that feels comfortable to you.
You will find my yoga classes a good way of regaining and maintaining, suppleness, strength, and flexibility. There is an emphasis on correct alignment and developing core strength. I do not include yoga poses that might stress or damage the body, and, where appropriate, students are encouraged to modify poses. You will learn how to use the breath to support the yoga poses, and, in this way, the class often has a mindful, meditative feel. A relaxation at the end of the class will leave you feeling refreshed and renewed.
