Book Review - Maternal Harbor - Marie Martin

16008901
Title:  Maternal Harbor

Author:  Marie F Martin

Review:  A murder mystery that takes place around four pregnant ladies who are on their own for different reasons. The main character is a very independent and protective individual who promises two of the other ladies that she will protect their children should anything happen to them. One of the four has a still birth and goes off the deep end. Although, to be fair, she appears to be a slice of ham short of a ham sandwich to start with, then in quick succession two of the other ladies are murdered. Teagan O'Riley then starts to protect the other two children and does not give up or in until she resolves the matter and in doing so she is reunited with her first love who helps her overcome the problem encountered.

I enjoyed this book from beginning to end and would certainly recommend this writer and her offerings.

I gave it a five star review.

I obtained the book from Amazon thru kindlebuffet.com.

Synopsis:  Now over 140,000 kindle downloads.

Pregnant and alone, Teagan O’Riley befriends three expectant mothers at an OBGYN clinic. Now, two of them are dead and the third is close on Teagan’s heels, intent on eliminating the last obstacle to a monstrous plot. She cannot risk entrusting the police. Her finger prints are all over one crime scene and her foot print smeared into blood at another. Surely, the authorities would remove the babies from her care and place them with child protective services, making them easy targets. Teagan flees with the babies to the only refuge she can think of − the wilderness cabin belonging to the grandmother of her lost love.

But is even this remote location safe?

Author Information:  Marie Martin lives in a fertile valley at the base of the Rocky Mountains. She enjoys a quiet life where laughter comes easy, love easier. Her father worked in a sawmill, and her mother was a librarian; an upbringing that fostered love for people and books. In her blog, Shady Nook, you may read stories of her exceptional childhood growing up in a rich, rural area filled with unique people and a magnanimous landscape known as the Big Sky County.
