The authors background gives the story a real feel and believable for a spy type thriller. The story uses characters development and the history of the spy gerne to keep readers on a nail biting pace. The characters are humanly flawed making them almost real as well as the story that revolves around the spying history between the warning nations the are in this wonderful book.

Decktora Raines is on leave from the CIA, trying to escape memories of the agent she lost and the disappearance of her life partner, Alex. About The Author:
Lucy Kirk is a retired CIA operations officer and former Chief of Station. She spent over three decades working in the Central Intelligence Agency, on assignments both in the U.S. and abroad. She focused on the USSR and post-Soviet Russia, an area of the world considered most significant to the national security interests of the United States. She currently teaches courses on espionage and the Cold War in New York City.
