Title: Simple and Sold: Utilize the Web-Sell your
home yourself and POCKET the commission!
Author: Sissy Lappin
Review: This book
had lots of good things to say about selling your home without a real-estate
agent. Some of it is easy to do for
anyone and some would take a bit more time and work on your part. Do you have the time, creativity to stage and
price your home? If you do this book is
for you. A bit of work on your part and
you can sell your own home and not have to pay the 6% commission or whatever
the rate is in your area.
I have bought 2 homes from people selling them themselves, I have yet to
try the process myself. Instead of an
agent we agreed on the price, things that needed to be fixed from the
inspection and so forth. The 2
experiences I had were both positive and maybe I will think about it the next
time I need to move. A lawyer was
involved in both sales and coordination with them was more difficult without an
agent, the dates were changed a few times and moved around because of missing
paperwork…that should not happen when working with an agent and if it did I
would ask for some compensation for my lost time.
If you want to give selling your
own home a try them pick up this book- get the tips you will need to know and easy
to follow steps to the home selling process.
It will take you time to do this, but what are you going to spend on the
commission alone? Maybe it will save you
money and that is worth time in this world.
