Title: Dropping the Dime

Author: Ellie Ashe

Stars 5 out of 5

ReviewI enjoyed Chasing the Dollar so when I found out Miranda Vaughn would be back I had to pick up book two and pray I wouldn't be disappointed.

The story starts off 6 months after Chasing the Dollar with Miranda working for the lawyer who helped her get acquitted in the first book. Kathryn is looking for a lawyer who will help her bring down her bosses illegal dealing. The Feds have been brought in because Kathryn wants immunity from being prosecuted with her boss. The only problem is the agent is Jake Barnes the man Miranda hasn't seen or heard from in 6 months. Miranda has decided that she can handle anything Jake throws her way.

Dropping The Dime is a well paced mystery with awesome twist and turns the reader won't see coming. Ellie Ashe writing style is very easy to follow giving the reader a very good book with laughs, a cast of characters you will remember after you put the book down and a complete story that will have the readers eagerly excited for the next book in the series. There wasn't the romance level that was in Chasing the dollar which I was happy to see because it gave you a chance to see Miranda grow as a characters as well as giving the reader insight into the other characters in the book.

Ellie Ashe created characters that you could see walking down the street or you might read in your local newspaper making the words pop off the pages.

It’s a short book that could be read in an afternoon so if you are collecting books for your next vacation this is a must!

Thanks Heidi for this review –

SynopsisMiranda Vaughn was once falsely accused of stealing millions, and now she’s helping others who are facing criminal charges. While being an assistant to her former defense attorney isn’t Miranda’s dream job, she’s eager to prove herself, and her first task is a simple one—protect Kathryn, a shy CFO turned informant, and help her prove that a popular real estate developer is embezzling millions from his company. But what should be a straightforward assignment is deliciously complicated when Miranda is thrown together with FBI Agent Jake Barnes, the man who saved her life, broke her heart, and then disappeared.

Beneath the neatly plotted rows of new homes lurk dark secrets, bitter feuds and a whole lot of greed. Nothing is what it appears, even Miranda’s timid client, who is hiding secrets of her own. Despite her growing distrust of her client, Miranda must protect Kathryn from becoming the target of the FBI’s investigation and protect herself from the real thief—all while protecting her heart from the sexy FBI agent she can’t seem to resist.

"High stakes, high energy, and a highly humorous good time!"
