What are you reading this weekend?
What are you plans this weekend? Since I am still sick I am cuddling up with several books. All are either Romantic or Romantic Suspense. I am not sure why but I have been on a kick with these easy fast reads.

Three cheers for spending your hard-earned mommy money on good reads! I just finished a captivating story of love - Bascomville. This is Mark Calde's fourth published book and it absolutely took my breath away so I thought I'd share it since you enjoy romantic reads just as much as I do. Told from the perspective of a young Max Bascom, this sprawling coming of age tale explores all the myriad layers of existing within your inner walls as you search for this elusive little thing called normalcy in our chaotic society. "Bascomville" helped me realize that no family is normal, and moreover, that you have to learn how to own your dysfunction in life. People should love you for you, and Max's relationship with his quirky family and his childhood sweetheart Janice shows us how reconciling with our internal battles helps to shape the world surrounding us. I wholeheartedly believe that the best novels have the power to elicit an emotional response inside of the reader, and Calde's latest book indeed had me both laughing and crying as I tore through the pages. Mark Calde's characters are so relatable that I know you will have a similar reaction to the compelling plot he crafts.
