Author: Steve Kittner

Stars: 4 out of 5

Review:
An enchanting adventure tale of a train robbery, stolen Confederate gold and murder which occurred in 1903 in rural West Virginia. Move forward to the present time and two young friends find an old sealed milk container in the muddy river edge while fishing. After hearing something moving around inside they manage to get the top off and find an old rolled deer skin which leads them into an investigation which leads them to the train robbery. Will they solve the clues given on the old deer skin and more importantly will they find the gold.

This book was written for the young readers and will keep their interest to the end.  I have given this book a four star rating and would recommend it to anyone with young readers.

I obtained this book in Kindle format from Amazon.

Synopsis:
Josh Baker and Eddie Debord are two young boys who love nothing more than running the hills and riverbanks of their small hometown in West Virginia. Always searching for a good adventure, one day they find one! Inside an old red milk can they discovered down by the river, is a relic from the past. A document that will send them on an adventure of a lifetime! They will make new friends and new enemies and will find themselves drifting downriver, biking down old railroad beds, exploring hidden hollows and finding hidden secrets, all in search of a long lost jewel from the past; a pile of Confederate gold that went missing in 1903. They will cross paths with a belligerent Sheriff, an attentive Mayor, an inquisitive librarian, and a menacing mountain man while trying to connect the dots to this age old mystery.
Suspicion, danger, and sheer terror are around every turn and they must be careful! It could cost them much more than just a couple weeks of their summer vacation.
Be careful wishing for big adventures....one may find you!

About The Author:
Steve Kittner

Steve Kittner was born and raised in Elkview, West Virginia and spent his youth running the hills and the muddy banks of the Elk River. As a young man he thoroughly enjoyed fishing, hunting, hiking, and biking and baseball. His roots are deeply planted in West Virginia and his first novel came straight from the heart as well as from some of the fun adventures he had as a boy in the beautiful West Virginia hills. Steve's imagination and love of nature drives his adventurous writing style and his knowledge of his subjects are evident in his stories.
Steve now resides in Central Florida with his wife and children, and is continuing the Josh Baker and Eddie Debord series by popular demand. Steve is happy to announce a second "spinoff" series will be his next release taking the adventures into Florida and beyond. For his Baker and Debord series fans...don't worry, like I mentioned, there is much more to come for those two as well as Giselle!
Steve still enjoys fishing and the outdoors and is still up for a good adventure every now and then--it keeps the stories coming!
