Review:

To start off  I love the outdoors and hiking but I haven't been hiking much since my last was born and honestly never in the Nevada, Las Vegas area.  When I was given the chance to review this book I jumped at the chance to see if I was missing much and Yes I've been missing a lot.
This book is not only beautiful written the photographs beg readers and hikers alike to get out and explore the great outdoors from National Parks to Ice Box Canyon in the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation area.

This book even covers my bucket list Rim to Rim hike of the Grand Canyon.

The author makes sure that readers know the difficulty of each hiking area, the time needed, what to bring as well as difficulty. Deborah Wall also gives readers areas to search out from old Railroad Tunnels to St. Thomas an former Mormon Pioneer settlement which many have old Miniature Atlantis. The pictures give wonderful examples of wild life, rock hard as well as how to get to each location leaving from Las Vegas.

If you are in the mood for something far less flashy as Las Vegas pick up a copy of Base Camp Las Vegas you will not be disappointed.
Thank you to the publishers for an copy of this beautiful book for my honest thoughts.

What is on your bucket list for camping or hiking? Mine Rim to Rim hike of the Grand Canyon!

About The Author:

Deborah Wall
I grew up in New England with a very happy, outdoorsy family who hiked, sailed and skied. I wrote my books about hiking because I wanted my three daughters to understand how much joy and healing is to be found in the outdoors and the best locations to find it. These days I live on the edge of town, where I can be hiking and biking within minutes of leaving my house. I am looking forward to chatting with readers I meet on the trails around Las Vegas.
