Product Review - Voice Remedy And Cold Remedy

from Sprouts

Review:  Tastes like syrup but I think that is the reason it works so well - it must coat the throat or something because it works.  Great for singers and speakers so that your voice sounds clear and strong and not cracking as you speak or sing for others - a big bottle with a load of servings - the bottles are going to last a long time before you need to replace them again.

As a teacher I speak all day long and my voice is sore at the end of the day and feeling tied- I have at times given the class to a student so that I can rest my voice and then we have them be the teacher for a time and they love it - helps keep my voice clear and so does this stuff - at lunch when my voice is going I put this in whatever I am drinking and my voice is back to normal - great idea for those who want an natural item to help their voice and this company also has a cold remedy that is great for getting better faster.

So give this item a try for a strong voice that is ready for speaking or singing all day long.

Sprouts Voice Remedy has been tested by professionals and by people suffering from a hoarse voice, be it chronic or temporary hoarseness. It has proven to be an extremely effective solution for hoarseness, congestion and inflammation. Driven by the lack of lost voice remedies available to cure hoarseness, a professional singer did extensive research on the causes of hoarseness, effect of hoarseness on the voice, and herbs available to prevent and cure hoarseness. After trying various ratios of a number of different ingredients, a precise recipe was formulated and tested on all ranges of people with mild to severe hoarseness. The results were extremely positive. Unlike many lost voice remedies, its herbal ingredients are both natural and effective in treating a hoarse voice.

Sprouts Voice Remedy provides a soothing effect to your voice, reduces inflammation, loosens the stubborn mucous, will make it easy to bring up phlegm, and will open the nasal passage so that when you speak or sing, the chords will come together and vibrate easily. The air will be moving through your vocal cords freely, you will feel your voice, and you won’t have to work hard to produce sound and avoid hoarseness.

Certainly, if symptoms persist or are severe in nature, it is advisable to confer with a healthcare professional immediately.

Book Review - The Rhyme of the Magpie - Marty Wingate

24634507
Title:  The Rhyme of the Mag[ei

Author:  Marty Wingate

Review:  This was a cozy little mystery which takes place in and around Mildenhall and Lakenheath , Suffolk, England. The mystery revolves around a murder that has taken place in a wooded area frequented by a prior lecture who has gained fame by the way he is able to teach and get the interest of everyone for the subject matter at hand. He has disappeared and it falls to his daughter and his new assistant to solve the murder and find the professor. His daughter is upset with her father for remarrying after the death of her mother. She was her father's assistant prior to that and has now struck out on her own in a new career.

The story involves a small cast of characters and a love interest between her and the new assistant. It is all resolved in the end and I will admit to being surprised by who turned out to be the murder. I enjoyed the book and would read other offerings by this author. On a separate note as a retired Air Force member it should be noted that RAF Mildenhall and RAF Lakenheath are two big Air Force Bases although RAF Mildenhall is scheduled to close in the near future. This aside there was not one mention of any Yanks (Americans) in the book nor any mention of the Air Bases.

I received this book as an ARC from Net Galley. I would rate it at 4 stars.

Thanks Frank for this review.

Synopsis:  For readers of Laura Childs, Ellery Adams, and Jenn McKinlay, the high-flying new Birds of a Feather mystery series from Marty Wingate begins as a British woman gets caught up in a dangerous plot when her celebrity father disappears.

With her personal life in disarray, Julia Lanchester feels she has no option but to quit her job on her father’s hit BBC Two nature show, A Bird in the Hand. Accepting a tourist management position in Smeaton-under-Lyme, a quaint village in the English countryside, Julia throws herself into her new life, delighting sightseers (and a local member of the gentry) with tales of ancient Romans and pillaging Vikings.

But the past is front and center when her father, Rupert, tracks her down in a moment of desperation. Julia refuses to hear him out; his quick remarriage after her mother’s death was one of the reasons Julia flew the coop. But later she gets a distressed call from her new stepmum: Rupert has gone missing. Julia decides to investigate—she owes him that much, at least—and her father’s new assistant, the infuriatingly dapper Michael Sedgwick, offers to help. Little does the unlikely pair realize that awaiting them is a tightly woven nest of lies and murder.

Praise for Marty Wingate

“Marty Wingate plants clever clues with a dash of romantic spice to satisfy any hungry mystery reader.”—Mary Daheim, bestselling author of The Alpine Yeoman

“Classy, clever, and utterly charming . . . Brew a pot of tea and settle in with this immensely enjoyable mystery.”—Rosemary Harris, author of Pushing Up Daisies and The Bitches of Brooklyn, on The Garden Plot

"Put the kettle on and settle into a well-crafted village mystery with a delightful new sleuth." —Connie Archer, author of Ladle to the Grave

Book Review - No Woman Left Behind - Julie Moffett - New Release !!!

25022086
Title: No Woman Left Behind

Author: Julie Moffett

Stars 5 out of 5

Review:  I know I have said this before- I love the Lexis Carmichael series. The author Julie Moffett again hits it out of the ball park with this laugh out loud moments from Meet the parents to her jumping out of a plane. I couldn’t stop laughing and cheering Lexis on. Julie Moffett created a character women can relate to whether it’s meeting the parents with a new boyfriend or doing anything for a friend or dealing with the unknown she forges ahead trying hard to do whatever is right.

Julie Moffett keep Lexis growing as a person throughout the series taking on new challenges that keep readers hooked from first to last sentence. The book flows so well never once slowing down or losing the pace having readers hooked line and sinker. You will fall in love with a new set of characters Julie Moffett introduces and I can only hope they will be in another book in the future. I thought No Place like Rome was funny but this book had me laughing so hard I cried as Lexis single handily brought a Navy Seal to his knees. I will be honest, I bit my nails as Slash left Lexis when her choice was to save her friend instead of listening to Slash and I laughed again when Lexis gave relationship advice so her new found friends.  This is a perfect addition to the Lexis Carmichael series if you loved the adventure- No Place Like Rome - you will love No Woman Laughed Behind. I can honestly say this is my favorite in the series so far.

Advance review from netgalley

Thanks Heidi for this review –

Synopsis:  My mother's life goal has been to see me, geek extraordinaire Lexi Carmichael, happily married. So bringing my first boyfriend, Slash, home for dinner has me hyperventilating. Things get a lot worse when bullets start flying over our corn chowder.

Now the entire alphabet soup of government agencies want my help finding the man behind the attack—Johannes Broodryk, a cyber mercenary I foiled on my last case. He wants revenge and he’s taken something of mine to ensure I’ll play, so it’s game on. But the government has its own agenda, and Slash is not on board with the plan. Things are a bit bumpy in paradise.

Although I'm more comfortable with computer code than commandos, I've been assigned a team of navy SEALs to help bring Broodryk down. The question is, will they survive me long enough to solve his cryptic puzzles and save the day?

Author Information:  I have always been a romantic at heart. So when I finally decided to pursue my dream of writing a novel, naturally, it was a romance. I have published several novels in many genres – historicals, time-travels and paranormals.
I’m a military brat (Air Force) and have traveled extensively. My more exciting exploits include attending high school in Okinawa, Japan (Go, Kubasaki!), backpacking around Europe and Scandanavia for several months, a year-long college study in Warsaw, Poland and a wonderful trip to Scotland and Ireland where I fell in love with castle, kilts and brogues.

I have a B.A. in Political Science and Russian Language from Colorado College and a M.A. in International Affairs from George Washington University in Washington, D.C. I worked as a correspondent for the international radio station, Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty in Washington, D.C. writing hundreds of articles and producing numerous radio programs for eleven years before "retiring" to be a stay-at-home mom and full-time writer in 1999.

I speak Russian and Polish (I married a Pole in 1991!) and love reading foreign literature (especially Slavic). I had a beautiful baby boy named Alexander in 1995. I never knew what joy a child could bring to my life.
