Title: Rescue Flight
Author: CarlA Sparks
Review: This is a action and adventure book with all of the ingredients you would expect. It starts out in Guatemala with the President's daughter who is a Dr. working for the Peace Corp under her mother's maiden name. She and her fellow travelers are kidnapped and the story switches to Edinburg Texas where our hero and his cousin, both ex Marine flyers, run an aviation service. They are recruited for the rescue and the action begins. It involves planes, CIA, drug cartel, terrorists, marines, navy and other agencies and ends with a firefight and dramatic rescue. If you like action and adventure tales this book is for you.
I would rate it 4 stars.
I picked it up at kindlebuffet.com because it mentioned Edinburg Tx which is next to where I used to winter.
Thanks Frank for the review

Why I Read this Title: Found on Kindle Buffet.
Synopsis: Carley Downs, medical doctor with the Peace Corps and first daughter to the United States, has been mistakenly abducted by the Guatemalan drug cartel. Without knowing Carley’s true identity, the cartel believes someone in her medical team is in possession of sensitive information involving cartel activities.
President Harlan Downs must decide on an expedient, low profile rescue operation before his daughter’s captors discover Carley’s true identity and force the United States into impossible negotiations for her release.
Matthew and Chase McWain, highly decorated former U.S. Marine Corps aviators, are struggling to make a success of their flying service in the short time they have been out of the Corps. The president has been made aware of Matthew’s special skills flying for Force Recon and has requested him to lead the rescue op. Matt and his team discover that the cartel has established an alliance with an Iranian terrorist organization. Time is quickly running out for Matt to snatch Carley from the cartel’s grasp before they deliver her into the hands of terrorists who will surely recognize the first daughter.
Outmanned and outgunned, the rescue team find themselves locked into life or death struggles, first with the cartel, and later with the notoriously savage Iranian terrorist leader, Ahmad Hassam, as all three fight for the possession of Carley Downs.
Author Information: Carl A. Sparks considers himself blessed to be a firefighter with 42-years in the fire service. He is also a commercial pilot and certificated flight instructor. Carl lives in Branson, Missouri with his lovely wife, Sue, and is blessed with a son and daughter and five grandchildren. Teaching his son and one granddaughter to fly are counted as some of God’s many blessings. Besides flying, writing and reading, he enjoys spending time with his family and traveling.
Rescue Flight is his first published works with fiction, though there have been five precious attempts over the years while puttering with the keyboard in what he describes as a highly undisciplined manner. He is now at work on the first of two sequels entitled, Operation Firestorm.
