Monday Musing

I don't know about the rest of you, but when I want to learn about something I buy a book.  I have read books on many subjects, some I enjoyed and pursued and some that I felt held nothing for me.  Well with Christmas coming and gifts to buy, the first thing I think is to get someone a book on a subject they enjoy.  Is this wrong?  I realize we now have Google and believe me I use it daily to look up things that I wonder about or to find the best price on an item.  But I have to say that I hate reading on the computer and find a book to have so much more information then a quick Google search.

SO what are you buying for those on your gift list this year?  My kids want anything but BOOKS, they all believe we have plenty.  I don't agree, I send all read books to the local library for the Friends of the Library sale that helps raise funds.  We have clear spaces on our shelves, so why not put a  few good books under the tree for everyone on your list.

  1. Buying books as Christmas gifts is a wonderful idea! My Grandma used to give us books, and she'd always write a sweet message, and the date, somewhere in the front of the book. So it was doubly meaningful, sentimental and informative.
