Title: In The Clearing
Author: Robert Dugoni
Stars: 4 out of 5
Review:
A
thoughtful police mystery that will take you through a death
investigation as both an active investigation and a cold case
investigation. The newly appointed Deputy has all the right instincts
and takes the right steps but had to follow orders when the death is
determined to be a suicide. However, he retains the file, and forty
years later after his death the file is reopened as a cold case. The
ensuing investigation validates his suspicion and culminates with a
resolution. A well written story that maintained my interest to the end.
I rated this book at 4 stars and would recommend it if you like a good police mystery.
I received an ARC from Netgalley for my unbiased review.

Can Tracy uphold the promise she’s made to the dead girl’s family and deliver the truth of what happened to their daughter? Or will she become the next victim?
