Book Review: Fast Vengeance (DEA FAST #7) by Kaylea Cross

Review:
I'm pretty sure for all the readers who love the DEA Fast series this is the book they have been waiting for.
Kaylea Cross has covers many difficult topics and woman fears in her different series.  This one is no different. 
Victoria Gomez past is any woman's greatest fear and yet she survives because of FAST Bravo team leader Brock Hamilton. 
While with man of Kaylea Cross books they are heave on the romance and light on the story this time she is able to bring a more blended story and balanced story.
If you are a far of the Kaylea Cross this is a can't be missed book.  While Each book can be a stand alone novel I would suggest for readers to start with the first book you meet Victoria Gomez to better understand her back story and her fight.

Review:
I started this series in book 3 and this is a series you really need to start from book 1.  The book is also a cliffhanger and it looks to be planned that way.
The story progressed at a really slow place for being part of a series. The police and FBI seem completely incompetent at their jobs as they bumble their way though the case.
Where this story should have shinned it fell apart.

Book Review: Tank (Black and Blue #1) by Erin Bevan

Title: Tank (Black and Blue #1)

Stars: 3 stars out of 5

Review:
Erin Bevan has created a story where a MC Gang instead of being about violence they are about helping those in need.  The Author has create a wonderful premise but the execution falls apart in the characters.  The lead characters in this book come off childish even though they have both been though abuse.  The authors writing style is very immature for the topic she is writing about.

Many times I found myself flipping pages that were meant for character building due to the lack of editing that was needed.

The author covers all topics including how difficult it is to forgive those who have hurt them physically, emotionally and sexually.  Some of the characters comes off flat while others will pop off the pages.  The author has done her research enough to create characters who will pull at readers heart strings.

Review:
I have read several books written by Dana Marton as well as Book 1 in the Mission  Recovery series.
I enjoyed the first book but this one was very different with a much darker theme and didn't seem to first with the first book.  While the characters are mentioned that seems to be it that ties the books together.  Threat Of Danger can be read as a stand alone novel in fact you wouldn't know it was part of a series.
The dark theme of this story will stay with readers because it is every woman's nightmare that happens to Jess Taylor. As the story progresses as well as the romance readers start to uncover the truth of the story and boy the bad guy is creepy.
Dana Marton created a very strong female character as well as a heart throb that women will fall in love with. The second chance romance will leave readers happy and the story comes to a fast end all tied up in a nice little bow.

This book has something for everyone from hikes, weekend getaways and week long backpacking trips. 
They titled this book perfectly because it is all about Backpacking that is Hidden away from the main stream of the world.  If you are not in shape for these kinds of backpacking trips it will inspire you to find your hidden away gem.
