Review:
Flash of Fury is your typical romantic suspense novel instead of falling on the sword this story had a feisty female lead i seem to connect with even when you wanted to yell at her. The male lead was typical but he seemed a little more real than most of your typical military romantic suspense stories.   This story starts off with a bang with thrilling action, bullets, lots of weapons, explosion, terrorist, running, hiding. The action scenes worked with the story that we were following.  With romantic suspense there are always the convoluted story but at the same time the author is able to bring readers fun, feisty sexy characters.  
As always there are throw away characters which I personal dislike but it didn't stop me from reading the story.

Synopsis:

His quest for the enemy's courier leads him to Cameroon and Allie Redding, a petite Peace Corps volunteer as stubborn as she is brave. Book Review Deep Into Trouble (Unbroken Heroes #3)

Title: Deep Into Trouble (Unbroken Heroes #3)

Review:
This is my first book and series by Dawn Ryder and I plan to go back and read the other books in this series.  Dawn was able to take a dark back story and create light and fun while giving the characters a little realistic sides to them.
From first to last page reader will be have white knuckles wondering what will next. The first half is running dodging bullets, the smaller middle is lots of hot sex and the last several chapters will keep the readers hooked.
Readers will love the female lead because she is feisty, strong and doesn't back down from a fight.
It can be read as a stand alone novel.  I did get a little lost every so often but I think that was more due to the tiny humans in my home that wanted me to cook dinner instead of hiding in the bathroom reading this fun, action packed novel.
I plan to pick up the first two in the series and keep on reading Dawn Ryder's Unbroken Heroes books.

Book Review StormChaser By Cherry Adair (Cutter Clay #4)

Review:
I have waited a long time for StormChaser to come out so to say I was excited to get an advance copy isn't even close. I quickly dove right into the book pun intended but soon something just didn't jive with me. 
From beginning to end this story was disjointed to the point a reader would all of a sudden question what happened and how did a week pass?
Time seem to fast forward tan slow down and fast forward with no indication than 3 days later. Make the reader feel like they are missing part of the story.  The flow was beyond choppy.  
As for the Mystery it was interesting but really nothing new or surprising. Reader will know right away what is going to happen at the end of the book with out much thinking.

Jonah and the Dr had a bad case of lust. Cherry Adair can write a sex scene, with fun, sassy and enjoyment. This book had all of those but zero connection between Jonah and the Dr.
The Dr.s Lies seem to get covered up in the quick ending that will leave readers with a headache as they trying to figure out what happened in those last few pages.  I had to reread several pages to understand half of what happened many times over.

The end of the story was choppy, lack a coherent ending and I had not idea who most of his crew were expect for the drunk because that character really had no reason to be there.  He wasn't funny but more annoying.

I had reread the other three books in the series to make sure I was caught.  This book didn't live up to the first free.

Book Review Expecting to Die by Lisa Jackson

 Review:
I struggle with this review because this is the first book I have read by Lisa Jackson and it is book in a series.  
This story seem to just trug along and at times with the endless backstories that I am sure are for first time readers to the story but honestly just got this reader lost many times over. I am not sure I could count how many different characters were in the book and some that were not necessary at times.  I get that Detective Regan Pescoli is an angry woman and pregnant.  I couldn't connect with her as a reader which made it difficult to connect to the story.  I believe the author created Selena Alvarez for those who couldn't connect to Regan but instead of connecting I felt the story was disconnected and the characters had zero chemistry.   

Many times the story simple fell last and I struggled even finishing the book.  Characters were hard to connect with, unnecessary characters in the story and the ending fell flat and unbelievable at times.  

This book might give her followers the story they wanted but for new readers to her books it turned this reader off.

Book Review Make Them Pay (Lucy Kincaid #12) By Allison Brennan

Review:
Brennan has the ability to create characters that readers will hook on to almost feeling as if they in the story and not just reading. The Allison Brennan creates a story that will have readers looking past the face of the people in the story and what they want to show the world. Everyone has a world face so they can hide what is in their heart and soul. We discover that Eden isn't cold and evil but it is what she has shown the world. Instead she has heart and soul which is brought out many times.
Make Them Pay shows how families can be torn part simply because of a miss understanding or the inability to let go of something they feel they deserved.
Allison Brennan has the ability to write dark stories that interweaving will moments of light. This time the author was able to take love, life and twisted it with the darkness which didn't consume the book.
This book has a wonderful balance which will get this reader to start at the beginning of the series 

The only reason this book isn't a 5 is all the difference characters that readers will bounce back and forth between leaving this reader a little lost and confused. I will also admit this is the first in this series that I have read.
