Review:   This is a little book full of small poems and stories.  If you need something to think about this is a great place to start.  What kind of person are you?  Does your Ego rule you life?  I enjoyed the book and loved that it could be read in little amounts or all at once.  Great insights.

Book Review - The Road Trip - Jo Lynn Crozier

Title:  The Road Trip

Review:   At first I really thought the idea of this book was rather stupid, but I kept reading and it only took a few more pages to discover that the message in this book were for me.  I loved the way the author made the ideas easy to understand and yet relevant at the same time.   Who are we and what does God want us to do with the things he has given us?  Well read this book and you will have more than just those questions to think about.

My favorite chapter was the one on the Kingdom of  ITS and how no one ruled there.  Wow great things to think about and especially how we use are time.  The chapter on the beehive and the activities we allow our mouth to go on…I have to say that this book spoke to me and I believe it will speak to you.  I only gave the book 4 stars because it is very Christian and that may not be for everyone….but it was for me and I loved it and gave it a five star rating in my life.

I would suggest this book to anyone out there who needs something more….who doesn’t need more something?

Monday Musing - (Ranting)

Or maybe I should say Ranting.  When I read and than review a book I try to link to the author's web page or some web page where the author has an on-line presence to the review.  Why is it that at this stage in the game that not everyone has some sort of web-site, or web-something. 

If you are an author you need to be out in cyber-space somewhere that is easy to find.  Having to look and search for information on an author is frustrating and not only that it is counter productive to the authors work.  If I can't find info on you, than how are you going to sell your books?  You need to be present, you need to be searchable.  Self-promotion may not be your thing, but we need to be able to find you.  Getting to know a bit about an author can really make a difference in the readers mind of how much they liked or disliked a book, and also if they would suggest the book to another person or not.  

When I read a book, I really enjoy, I want to know more about the author and doing a quick Google search should be enough to curb my interest.  What I'm saying is that if you are an author you need a web-presence of some sort.  If not I'm afraid that you and your works will be lost to most people.  We cannot ignore the power of the internet any longer, the future is now.

Book Review - The Perfect Husband - Lisa Gardner

Review:  My aunt has talked about this book for awhile and she finally just gifted it to me from Amazon for the Kindle.  Wow I have to say that it kept me on the edge of my chair wondering what was going to happen.  Her bad guy was BAD, he scared me to the point that I was checking the locks, the windows and the closets before going to bed.  He was freaky scary and I hope never to meet someone like him in real life.

I liked that the female, Tess, took control of her life and didn’t just let things happen to her.  She was determined to fight him with everything she had and even leaned new skills to add to the battle.  J.T. was a strong lead, even with the condition he was in when she met him.  He was determined to end this with Tess’s husband and even with his loss he made a formidable foe.

If you like suspense thrillers you will enjoy this book.  I now look forward to finding the time to read her other books.
