Review: Disappointed
to say the least……here is why. This book
was a bit strange, I follow this author and always request her new books from
the library the minute they put the book into their system….but I am beginning
to wonder why? The last one was OK, I
really enjoyed Prey(even with the bear perspective...at least there was something interesting to read about) and Ice, but those are all I can really think I've liked of her books in the last few years. I miss her
books like, To Die For, and Cover of Night. What happened to that author? I guess what I am saying is that maybe Linda
is putting books out too fast and they are losing what makes her a best selling
author. Slow down I follow many authors that publish once a year and their books get better every year....write a winner and see how willing to wait we all will be. The anticipation is what makes life great.
This book just felt off and
the story was convoluted and didn't flow well.
I read it because I had waited for it for a few weeks and was excited
when the library called telling me it was available. But, now I am just disappointed and may need
to remove this author from my favorites list. I don't have the time to waste on sub-par writing any longer. I want an author who hits it over the fence at least most of the time.

but I can tell you it is not as exciting or fast moving as it may sound. I enjoy the build up in a relationship and the
quiet moments that each is thinking about the other, this had none of
that. Instead this had dream sequences that were short
and not that entertaining at all. I cannot
recommend this book, not even to all the Linda Howard fans out there. You will just be disappointed so don't bother to waste your time or money on this book. See reviews below I think you will get the same feel from all of them.

Synopsis: Lizette

Author Biography: Linda S. Howington was born on
August 3, 1950 in Alabama, United States. She began to write at nine years old,
and wrote for twenty years for her own enjoyment. She worked at a trucking
company where she met her husband, and then decided to try and get her work
published in 1980. Her first work was published by Silhouette in 1982. She
is a charter member of Romance Writers of America, joining in 1981 shortly
after it was formed. She currently serves as Region 3 Director (until 31
October 2008).
Her husband is a professional
bass tournament fisherman, and she travels with him to some very unglamorous
locations where she works on her laptop. Linda and her husband live in a big
house on a farm in Alabama, where they raise cattle and have two dogs.
Her friends include the
authors Catherine Coulter, Iris Johansen, and Kay Hooper.
