Review:
I love Kendra Elliot- as an author she as the ability to pull you in from page one to the very last page in the book hoping it doesn't end. This book is one adrenaline filled ride with Ava McLane and detective Mason Callahan on the hunt for a reason why good kids go on a shooting spree.
Kendra Elliot will have reader on their seats wanting to hold Ava and tell her everything is ok and beg that Mason Callahan holds tight to her long enough to get over the emotional and physical toll that Ava is put though by the shooting of her sister. All the intense situations test the very fragile relationship between Mason and Ava having the reader questioning what will happen at the end of the book. Ava is brought to the breaking point so many times in this book. Its almost difficult to read but that is what makes the characters in this book come alive.
The author uses current event but adds a twist which you might see coming if you are crazy like me and thinks too many steps ahead. Ava is at the local mall during a shooting and since one of the killed suspects happens to be on the FBI list they quickly take over the case.
Ava isn't working back at the FBI just yet but because of her location when the shooting starts she tags alone.
This isn't another mass shooting instead it is filled with a good amount of twist and the craziness that again will have the readers reading into the late hours of the night just wanting to solve the case.
I love this series!
The writing is great, the emotions pull the reader in and the characters pop off the page. Another great read by Kendra Elliot
