Title:  Crazy, Va

Author:  Shannon Hill:

Review:  This is book one of five books about the small town of Crazy, Virginia. The Crazy Virginia town Sheriff is a single, 35 year old by the name of Littlepage Eller or Lil as she is referred to and she has a feral cat, Boris, which she adopted. The cat serves as her working partner and can be quite vicious when protecting her from harm. She is the offspring of a Littlepage and Eller union and as both families detest each other is shunned by both. The two families are very rich and the first two families in the area and constantly try to outdo each other.

In the story a Littlepage daughter  is murdered and so the investigation begins. It is resolved after a fashion but not necessarily to everyone's satisfaction. I thought the Lil was a very believable character and one I could identify with. She recapped the life of a small town Sheriff very well. I enjoyed the book and would read the other four in the series.

I picked up the book because it caught my interest for its location in small town Virginia in the Blue Ridge mountains. As a native Virginian and being raised not far from the Blue Ridge Mountains how could I not and I was not disappointed.

I rated the book at four stars.

I got the book from Kindlebuffet.com.

Thanks Frank for this review.

Synopsis:  Sheriff Littlepage Eller of Crazy, Virginia, has her work cut out for her. She started life as the unwanted daughter of both of Crazy's feuding founding families. She's enforcing the law in a quirky town more used to paying bribes than fines. And her love life is in hiding. But Lil's luck changes when she adopts Boris, a foul-tempered tomcat who quickly becomes her feline deputy.

Then Crazy gets its first murder in decades: Lisa Littlepage Hunter, heir to the powerful Littlepage business empire and the cousin Lil never knew. Lil's investigation will lead her and Boris through a twisted web of forbidden love and family secrets, and before it's over she'll need all the help her furry deputy can give her - and then some. www.shannonhillauthor.com

Author Information:   Shannon Hill lives in the commonwealth of Virginia and treasures her privacy. She loves cats, chocolate, and the Blue Ridge Mountains. Although she is not nearly as awesome as Sheriff Lil Eller, her cats are as awesome as Boris. One of them even enjoys riding in the car. (Seriously. Who could make that up?)
