Select Line for Bestselling Authors

JERRY B. JENKINS SELECT LINE LAUNCHES RELEASES FROM BESTSELLING AUTHORS

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO— 1Source, a collaborative effort of the Jerry B. Jenkins Christian Writers Guild, Believers Press, Bethany Press, and Anchor Distributors launches the first releases in the Jerry B. Jenkins Select Line on May 6, 2014. Novels under the new 1Source brand include Hallowed Halls by Hannah Alexander, Sidetracked by Brandilyn Collins, Passing Strangers by Angela Hunt, Child’s Play by Bill Myers, and Twice a Slave by Sammy Tippit with Randy Willis.
Hannah Alexander is the pen name for the writing collaboration of Cheryl and Mel Hodde. They chose the name "Hannah Alexander" to incorporate their two names. They live in the Missouri Ozarks where they like to set the majority of their books. They have published 22 books with Steeple Hill, Harlequin Suspense, Love Inspired, Summerside Press, and Bethany House. The book's title refers to the "hallowed halls of medicine" where doctors are trained. It offers more personal drama, humor with rescued animals, romance, and excitement for readers without a murder mystery--a departure from their previous novels.
Brandilyn Collins is a bestselling author of nearly 30 books and more than 8 million books sold. She is best known for her Seatbelt Suspense®fast-paced, character-driven suspense with myriad twists and an interwoven thread of faith. She also writes insightful contemporary novels often laced with humor. Sidetracked follows the model of Collins' suspense novels.

A Christy-Award winner, Angela Hunt writes for readers who have learned to expect the unexpected. With over four million copies of her books sold worldwide, she is the bestselling author of more than 130 titles ranging from picture books (The Tale of Three Trees) to adult novels. She often travels to teach writing workshops at schools and writers conferences. Her novel The Note was made into a Hallmark Channel movie and she won the 2006 Romantic Times BookClub Lifetime Achievement Award. Three of her novels have been finalists for a Romance Writers of America RITA Award.

Bill Myers is an author/screenwriter/director and has won more than 60 national and international awards, including the C.S. Lewis Honor Award. His DVDs and books have sold 8 million copies. His children's DVD and book series McGee and Me has won 40 Gold and Platinum awards and has been aired on ABC and in 80 countries. He has written, directed, and done voice work for Focus on the Family's Adventures in Odyssey radio series.

Sammy Tippit is the author of 14 books that have been translated into numerous languages. His book The Prayer Factor was a bestseller among Christian books in Brazil and was the first Christian book published in Mongolia. Sammy was the subject of bestselling author Jerry B. Jenkins’ first book. Tippit is the only debut novelist in this rollout.

Randy Willis worked with Tippit to complete Twice a Slave, based on the life of Joseph Willis and Tippit’s ancestors. Randy is the fourth great-grandson of Joseph Willis. The book tells the story of a mixed race who experiences double injustice when his uncle illegally keeps him in slavery and steals his property. It's based on real-life events and is an inspiring story that shows a man with the courage to forgive and faith molded by tragedy.

Says Jerry Jenkins, who has published more than 180 books with 70 million copies sold and whose Christian Writers Guild has trained writers for 50 years, “I’m excited to see these new releases hit the market after all the work that has gone into each manuscript. I look forward to the responses from readers.”

Dave Sheets, President of Christian Writers Guild and Believers Press says, “We’re proud of our 1Source authors and their efforts in these new books. These authors already have a loyal following and will continue to provide great books for readers. As an independent publisher, we are able to provide authors choices in what services they’d like to engage, and we do so with our editorial, production, marketing, and distribution through a major wholesaler.”

Says Chris Robinette of Anchor Distributors, which has been servicing retailers for 40 years, “For independent authors, there is nothing like this type of opportunity to be part of a direct sales program with a print-on-demand solution. We look forward to ensuring these books are available in retail outlets.”
